Fresh Not Fussy
Many elements are involved with pulling off a successful runway show, look book shoot, or editorial campaign. Being meticulous with every detail has always been an integral part of the William Bradley brand. We take into consideration every thread on a garment, musical note playing on the catwalk, and shade of eye liner in our ads. Simply put, If our girl isn't going to be inspired by it, neither are we.
Even with the highest of standards, one of the easiest, yet most rewarding decisions for a new team member was for our brand's key make-up artist, Kale Teter. A true artist, in every sense of the word, Kale has been responsible for bringing to life every aspect of the exact look we've needed for the past two seasons' collection. Bringing with him not only immense talent, but experience through his training with Nars, time spent working NYFW, and dozens of major fashion publications.
The William Bradley girl is sophisticated and chic. The details matter to her, but she's not overly fussy. For the makeup this season, we kept things very clean and seemingly effortless, with fresh skin, natural groomed brows, and striking black liner. The eyeliner was kept very tight on top and dark and hazy along the bottom lash line. It also extended outward slightly at the corners, lending a sultry feline effect without drawing on the traditional winged liner. A sheer, silver shimmery shadow was added on the lids for a subtle flash of light on the runway. Last, the lips got a boost of natural color with a rosy pencil, and were finished with a touch of clear gloss.
